Dance Meeting Information

Updates on any confirmed performances or events are stated above the shoutbox. But may change depending on the situation.

One performance and one event not confirmed:
- Dance Musical for the Asia Arts Festival somewhere around November;
- New Year gathering next year; 2008.

We have decided on learning a different genre every year. But this is another thing that is not explained very clear. I will update again.

Practice for performance on the 15th of April is on Saturday 3:00 - 4:30 PM for Jui Nui Nui and Sunday 2:00 - 4:00 PM for Yu Zhu Lin. This performance is said to be pushed back. Will update when notified.
Gao Zi Ban girls who are interested in dancing Yu Zhu Lin can come on Sunday.

Back to ChongFu Gathering + Teachers' Day Celebrations is just like the one last year. But this one is simpler. No performances, just a simple gathering in the form of afternoon tea.

Alumni Anniversary, we can decide if we want or not to perform. It is just a normal Alumni Anniversary as alike to ones held every year.

Performance at xxx Hospital is confirmed to be on the 28 September but is unknown to me what hospital it is. I will update again.

We have also decided to place our China Overseas Exchange Program/Outing on December. For now. The money from our Back To ChongFu Gathering etc. will be put away for our China Outing.

We are planning to take a day off from dance and have a BBQ next Saturday.
You can choose to reach around 1:00 - 4:00 PM. If you reached early, you can either rent skates or bikes to relax. The BBQ will start around 4:00, 5:00 PM and we will go home together. Confirmed to be home before 10:00 PM.
Venue - East Coast Park.

I will updated the changes when I'm notified or after the next meeting.

Oh, and please remember to pay your Troup fees. $10 every month.

Just blogging before going dance.

Concert coming real soon. Everybody's rushing and perfecting. Today have Modern Hip, Let's Dance. +D. So going to perfect our steps and making the dance neat. Damn scary. Costumes must match and stuff. Envy Xin Ying's dance so much. Can borrow costumes. Dono if this dance is okay anot. aiyo.

Just happen to find out than Huan Ju Yi Tang kinda stress. The Wei Zhu Wu's costumes totally revealing. haahaa. Man, must diet. haahaa. Well, actually all I have to say is, as a dancer, wadeva group Jiang lao shi wants to put me in, I'll just listen not complain. I will do everything in my power to dance Wei Zhu Wu properly. Even if I can't dance with heels, even if I hate the costume. I'll just keep quiet and do wad I can.

So let ua all just work together and make Huan Ju Yi Tang practices a nicer environment to dance in. +))

heyhey dancers!!! school reopens today.. haa.. soo how are you girls coping huh.. haahaa.. hope you girls do great in this semester.. =))

dance still goes on every Sunday from 10:00 - 6:30.. well, sometimes we might end early.. but that usually depends on the amount of people who came for that particular Sunday..

take last Sunday for instance.. only like 5/6 people came.. in the morning were Sumin, Sheena, Xi Xhi, Xiao Xin Ying and me.. after lunch Sheena wen off and Winne came.. thus ii conclude that it is 5/6 people la.. haahaa.. that we went off that day at 4:30.. haahaa.. we were real tired after tt... Sumin left at 4 and the rest of us continued to dance.. we stopped ard 4 coz I had to go open the gate for Sumin.. haa.. than Xi Shi and Xin Ying slept till 4:30.. haa.. I guessed ey sorta had an alarm in their heads.. haa.. Winne and I ate some stuff.. haahaa.. we all had CUCUMBER.. hee.. *yums*..

oh.. and

Chen Jin Lao Shi will be back!!!! We will have a party in school from 5:00 - 8:00. Everybody must play a part. Not compulsory but it's a bonus right? Chen lao shi leh.. haa.. Everyone must pay 5 dollars for the little party. Please tell Jiang lao shi if you are attending the party and pay her the 5 dollars (I think).

So, I guess this is all. I sure hope many more will come next week. No more empty promises ok. haahaa. Speaking frankly, I feel very.. demoralized.. I mean I'm really upset at the amount of people that come each Sunday.. for those with a valid reason, I understand.. but really, the amount keeps decreasing every week.. especially the new grade 13 dancers..

darlings, we are taking out exams this year. Please, do not let all your hardwork go to waste. Dancing our way up here is not easy.. +)).. soo please..

and about street jazz.. I know, some may be a little upset that I'm the one whose choreographing this dance. Well, all I can say is there's noting I can do, except give my best. Anyway, dancers are meant to complete and humans are meant to have feelings be it good or bad.

Hey girls,

I need to make some publicity on a coming dance concert by the AJ dancers, 'Silent Vocal V - The Kaleidoscope'. It will be featuring more on contemporary dances and will be interesting. Choreographed by Ms Sylvia Yong, the theme circles around a girl who will be painting out her thoughts and these painted pictures will be realised through dances. Jie En and I will be dancing 2 dances and we'll really appreciate your presence and support. Tickets are available at an affordable 12 bucks, free seating. Details of our upcoming performance are as follow:
11 March 06: Rehersal
18 March 06: Performance!
Venue: Chong Pang CC

So far Lucinda, Rebecca, Nyuk Xin, Kaiying, Jia Yi, Xin Ying, Hui Jie confirmed performing. Others like Kun Man, Su Min, Bao Wen, Yi Yi, Jin Ling, please contact Lucinda and tell her if you're performing or not.

Those people who are in the CF Dance Alumni, you ONLY have to pay $40/- per 2 months for your grade lessons. However, you need to fork out $10/- monthly for your Higher Grade lessons. So in total, $60/- for 2 months.

Grade 7 lessons: Saturdays, 3-4.30pm
Higher Grade lessons: Sundays, 6-7.30pm

We'll try this for 1 month or so, if the timing is unappropiate for some of you, we'll try to arrange another day for Higher Grade lessons.
